ENIGMA OF THE RAIN

ENIGMA OF THE RAIN
Tristan Noel Jamito (BrainFreeze)

Splatter, pittter-patter
The cloud seemed so angry at me
Shouting at me like I was a 4-year old
Telling me to get inside my room

Splatter, pitter-patter
The leaves rejoice to the rhythm
Insane they are dancing
A music their body wants

Splatter, pitter-patter
The beggar shaking his tin can
Clanking faintly a peso
How can he eat tonight?

Splatter, pitter-patter
Happy are the children of the streets
Time for their pool party
Free of entrance fee

Splatter, pitter-patter
Endless arguments of the cars
Yet there's no stopping this little girl
To hush them with her sampaguita

Splatter, pitter-patter
A man drenched in blood
Hugging the cold wet pavement
The rain hid the thief well

Some can be blissful as it hits
Others in pain of misery
As the rain falls carelessly
Splatter, pitter-patter, splatter, pitter-patter.
